TO-NIGHT’S BIG MEETING. The sport of dirt track racing should be seen in its most thrilling form at the Kllbirnie Stadium Speedway to-n ght, when, in addition to an array of local talent, there will be thret of Australia s leading ••cinder-shifters,” and a trio of Auckland riders. One of the features of the meeting should be the attempts by the Australians, Jimmy Datsou and Billy Stlcnewicb, to lower the track record, and it is expected. that Syd. Perkins, another Australian rider, will te an outstanding performer. One of the most stirring contest will be that tor the golden helmet, In which the leading New Zealand riders will be seen in action. The meeting should be one of the best on record. In the event of bad weather necessitating a postponement, the meeting will be held on- Monday night. Particulars regarding the reservation of seats, etc., are given elsewhere in this issue. The following competitors have been selected for the golden helmet contest:— W. Kilinister, W. Harvie, E. Naylor, C. R. McKenzie, Tui Morgan, A. Matson (Auckland). V. Grove, P. McGhee, and W. Allen (Auckland).
