KAHIKA IN PORT
TOWED FROM GISBORNE. The Union Co.’s cargo steamer Kaliika, which was ashore at Gisborne last week, arrived safely at Wellington on tow of the tug Terawhiti last evening. The vessels left Gisborne at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and arrived in the stream nt Wellington at 6.30 o’clock last night. The Kahika, ,which has a damaged propeller, was berthed* later at No. 1 south Queen’s Wharf, where she will discharge the remainder of her cargo preparatory to going on the Patent Slip on Monday to have a new propeller fitted.
