TO-DAY’S WEATHER FORECAST.
Meteorological Office, Wellington, Friday, November 1, 1929, 4 p.m. A depression still covers the North Island, but is moving eastwards slowly. A moderate anti-cyclone covers the Western Tasman Sea. Winds northerly at first in the central and eastern portions of the North Island, but south-west to south-east winds shortly becoming general and moderate to strong in force. Seas moderate to rather rough generally. Strong southerly winds and rather rough seas in the Eastern Tasman Sea. Weather still unsettled over the North Island and parts of Marlborough with further rain, but Improving gradually. Mainly fair elsewhere, but some scattered coastal showers. Cold temperatures. Some frosts inland In the South Island. Conditions for the week-end appear favourable.
