A Healthy-looking Wairarapa Tobacco Crop.—The tobacco crop shown in the photograph is an experimental one grown at Masterton by A. Robinson and Sons for the Wairarapa Smallholders’ Association. Experts who have seen the crop are satisfied tobacco could be grown in the Wairarapa, although the climate is not what one would call ideal. Nevertheless, if a market were found, quite a few smallholders in that district would grow the crop.
