CONVICT’S WONDERFUL CLOCK
A clock in which every part, even the minutest wheel, is made of wood has been constructed by a convict who recently served a term of twenty years’ imprisonment. This remarkable clock, which goes without human supervision, is built into a cupboard, and contains thirty different watches, which show simultaneously the correct time in the thirty largest cities in the world. Besides these a special watch shows the movement of the sun, moon aud stars, and a barometer predicts the weather.
A calendar marks the passing of the days, weeks and months, unaided, successfully overcoming the irregularities of leap year; and a weighing machine completes the mechanism,
