Pressure is high over Eastern to strong northerlies over the North Island; elsewhere W moderate to fresh southerlies. Southerlies gradually becoming general and freshening about Cook Strait. . Seas rough in Cook Strait and north of East Cape, and using south of Castlepoint; smooth and moderate elsewhere. Moderate to strong southerly winds and moderate to rather rough seas In the Eastern Weather still unsettled, with showers in most districts, but improving W from the west and south; misty on the East Coast between Kaikoura and Napier. Colder temperatures, with some frosts inland in the South Island.
