Work is being commenced on the track over the Gertrude Saddle between Elfin Buy and Milford Sound. Six horses are to be transported across Lake Te Aw to the work, and it is reported that 21men will'be employed. L'be track, when completed, will enable tourists to do the Milford Track without doubling oil their footsteps The new route will be from Glade House to Milford Sound, approximately 30 miles, and from the Sound over n relatively little known and most interesting track over the Gertrude Saddle to Ellin Bay, a trek of about the same length.
