NEW ZEALAND HIGH COMMISSIONER

October 3, 7.45 p.m.) London, October 3. The New Zealand High Commissioner (Sir James Parr), who had booked passages for himself and wife and daughters by the Mataroa, sailing on October 8, has been requested by Sir Joseph Ward to remain as High Commissioner till the end of December. To this, Sir James Parr has assented. It is understood that apart from his own personal inclinations, Sir James Parr is impressed with the great importance of the Dominion being adequately represented at Geneva in November, when the Mandates Commission examines the past year’s Samoan affairs; also at the Dominions’ Legislation and Shipping Conference, which assembles on Tuesday, and presumably will last till December. Sir James Parr will represent New Zealand (it both gatherings.
