The “Financial News” states that the result of the New Zealand conversion loan is not definitely known, but the underwriters are expecting to be left with from 40 to 50 per cent. The New Zealand Government offered holders of about £9,700,000 of 4 per cent, stock new 5 per cent. Inscribed stock, dated 1935-45, to about five millions at 98. The balance of about £4,700,000 will be repaid in cash on November 1.
