September 80, 9.35 p.m.) Faris, September 29. The Prefect of the Seine announces that steel houses turned out within eight minutes and requiring only a few hours to assemble will be used to solve the Paris housing problem. They will replace thousands of wooden hovels on the outskirts of the city. The new dwellings will contain bathrooms, electric light, and central heating. They will be cool in summer and warm in winter.
The walls are constructed of hollow Bteel cells, encasing parallel steel bars.
