ROTORUA MEETING R. GEORGE WINS CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph-Press Association. Rotorua, August 30. The Rotorua championship golf meeting closed to-day in fine weather. A great contest between Rex George (Auckland) and Morrice (Rotorua), resulted in a win for George, 2 and 1, In an equally good contest for the juiii" cup. Goss (Wnngnmii) defeated Western (Auckland). 3 and 1. ■( . Malngay (Morrinsville) won the Dominion‘Veterans’ Cup from Trice (Glendowie) 6 and- 5. ... The visitors were enthusiastic over the course, and the hospitality of the Rotorua Club. The president (Mr. F. W. Wilkie): presented the trophies, congratulating the winners.
