THE KELBURN CLUB. The seventeenth annual meeting of the Kelburn Lawn Tennis Club was held last evening, the president, Mr. C. W. Earle, C.M.G., occupying the chair. The report and balance-sheet showed the club to be in a very healthy condition. During the past season, club competitions were won as follows:— Men’s championship singles: D. W. Earle. Men’s championship doubles: C. W. Earle and D. W. Earle. Men’s handicap doubles: G. G. Hodgkins and G. D. Little.

Enjoyable home and home matches were played with the Carterton and Martinborough clubs. Carterton won both contests, one by 10 matches to 7, and the other by 7 matches to 6. Against Martinborough, Kelburn won at Martinborough by 7 games to 5, and at Kelburn by 9 out of 12 matches. The thanks of the club were extended to the lady members for their hospitality and welcome assistance on opening day and on other occasions. Officers for the new season were elected as follows: President, Mr. C. W. Earle. C.M.G.; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. F. Wilson and D. M. Kean; club captain Mr. L. J. Berry; committee. Messrs. F G. Jolly, C. G. Weston, W. D. Irons, G D. Little, and W. J. Melody; honorary auditor, Mr. G. C. Smith; honorary secretary and treasurer. Mr. G. G. Hodgkins; delegate to W.P.L.T.A., Mr. G. G.
