BOOKMAKER WAYLAID AND ROBBED

A well-known bookmaker named Jim Brogan was waylaid by bandits near his home after the Warwick Farm races yesterday. Three masked men covered him with revolvers and took £7O, but missed nearly £5OO which he had secreted in the bottom of his car. MASKED MEN HOLD UP SHOP ASSISTANTS \ Australian Press Association. Another daring robbery was reported last night Two armed and masked men entered a shop in the Surry Hills, bailed up the attendant, and robbed the till People were passing the shop during the procedure, but, displaying great audacity, the men left the shop and disappeared in the crowd. The police later arrested two men in connection with the affair and charged them with robbery under arms.
