MAJESTIC. WANGANUI. “Four Devils.” commencing at The Majestic Theatre, Wanganui, to-day, is a drama of the tinsel and sawdust of the cireus, and the leading roles are taken by Janet Gaynor, Nancy Drexel. Charles Morton, Barry Norton, and J. Farrell McDonald. Two brothers and two sisters destined as children for circus life are taken from their unhappy surroundings by an old clown, who teaches them, and eventually forms them into a troupe. Charles, the loader of the troupe, and Marion, the star acrobat, fall in love with each other, but trouble soon looms on the horizon. On their opening night in Paris a wealthy siren makes love to Charles, and within a few days he falls a complete victim to her charms. He neglects his work, and through being out of practice nearly meets with disaster in the famous “death dive. However, on their final night she sits in a box nt the eireus and tries to catch Charles’s attention prior to the big leap. Instead, she catches the eye of Marlon, who loses her nerve and falls to the ground. She is not seriously hurt, and Charles, now her devoted lover once more, helps to nurse her back to health and happiness. The Roxy Theatre orchestra provides the synchronised music. Including the theme song “Marlon." The supporting features are the latest Fox Movietone Now* and other toatureUes.
