Last year Britain spent £288.200,00 on drink—a decrease of £10,600,00 the previous year, and ftn average of £6 9s. 10d. per head. Nearly 110,000 passengers were taken to the Epsom summer race meeting by the Southern Railway—nearly 20,000 more than last year.
