With an authorised capital of £250.000, of which 1146,000 is issued and fullypaid, the Empire Tobacco Corporation, Ltd., is now offering for subscription the first series of 3000 freehold guaranteed bonds at £3O each. The fol’owing twelve facts for investors show at a glance the merits and salient points of the proposition:— 1. The Corporation’s development will not be limited to a single property. It will plant a number of different areas. 2. It will not confine its attention to one > region, but will plant in several quite distinct localities. 3. It covenants to establish trustees for the bondholders, to be elected by the-n. ar I without representation by the Corporation. 9. 500 Bonds have been underwritten before the issue of the prospectus. 10. It will pool the proceeds of all its plantations, and divide them equally among the bondholders. 11. It has ample financial resources before going to the public with this bind issue. 12. Its estimates of profit are conservatively based on little more than half of what is stated by competent authorities to be the present average net return per acre attained by small holders.
