AMERICANS TO TOUR NEW ZEALAND

ARRANGEMENTS BEING MADE The M.inister-in-Charge of the Tourist Department (Rt. Hon. Sir Joseph Ward) stated yesterday that a letter had been received from the newlyappointed representative of the Tourist and Railway Departments in America (Mr. J. L. Wheeler, manager of Pacific Tours, Ltd., San Francisco), that his firm were already sending a party of twelve members making a tour of both Islands, arriving in Wellington on December 16; and a party of eighteen members making a tour of the North Island arriving on December 30. These parties will be met by an officer of the Tourist Department and details of their tours arranged. Mr. Wheeler’s eleventh escorted party will arrive on February 10. The party is to consist of ”6 members, half of whom will tour both Islands, and of the remainder, some will “do” the North and some the South Island. Mr.' Wheeler also reported that he expected to arrange for further parties leaving America in November and December and more to follow in January and February.
