Last year 439,419 persons from foreign countries visited Britain, according to a return issued recently by the Home Office, and of the total nearly one-third came from the United States. Our only duchess in her own right is 11.R.11. Princess Arthur of Connaught, who is Duchess of Fife. There are five countesses, two viscountesses, and seventeen baronnesscs in their own right. Mr. Percy Malcolm Stewart, chairman of the London Brick Company, who bought Pcterl orottgh Old Infirmary for £75.000, is presenting the buildign to the city for an art gallery, museum. and social centre.
