COACH FOR AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION Dominion Special Service. Auckland, July 31. Once again the Auckland Cricket; Association has gone to Sussex for a coach, and nt a meeting to-day negotiations were completed for the engagement for next season of A. F. Wensley, who is rated next to Tate and Bowley in Sussex for all-round play. “One of the regular members and mainstays of the team, and holds his own as one of the best all-rounders in the country, without quite attaining the standard of Tate and Bowley,” is how “Wisden” commented on Wensley’s form last season. Albert Relf, Bowley. Langridge, and Cox are four Sussex players who have preceded Wensley to Auckland. Wensley entered the Sussex county eleven in 1923. SOUTH AFRICANS’ MATCH AGAINST SOMERSET.
