ROAD CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIP

The action of the New Zealand Athletic, Cyclirig and Axemen’s Union in allotting the New Zealand road championship to. the Taranaki Centre for its round-the-mountain race was the subject of a strong complaint at to-night's meeting of the North Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Union. This championship formerly has always been allotted to the Timaru-Christchurch road race. ' The New Zealand Union is to be asked to reconsider its decision. The TimaruChristchurch race will be held on October 5, and the Centre will go on with its arrangements.
