DAIRY MERGER
SCHEME WELL RECEIVED Dominion Special Service. Auckland, July 30. Mr. W. Goodfellow, managing director of Amalgamated Dairies, Ltd., when interviewed this morning, stated that, despite adverse criticism among local agents, the company’s new scheme for the development of Umpire trade had been very well received by the dairy industry throughout New Zealand. Dairy directors. he said, realised the necessity for some improvement in the existing haphazard method of marketing, and welcomed the Amalgamated Dairies’ proposal as a sound constructive scheme for the elimination of competition, and the gradual linking up of the co-operative dairies of the, Empire.
