MINING QUESTIONS
OFFICER’S INQUIRIES ABROAD
An important mission on behalf of New Zealand has just been concluded by Mr. A. H. Kimbell, Under-Secretary of the Mines Department. Mr. Kimbell returned to Wellington from Australia on Monday, after spending six weeks in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Aus tralia, investigating questions affecting coal and gold mining prospecting, the use of pulverised fuel, mining procedure, etc. Mr. Kimbell will incorporate the result of his inquiries in a report to the Government.
