IDENTITY OF HORSE
IMPERIAL THORPE IMPOUNDED By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, June 3. The horse Imperial Thorpe was impounded by the stewards after the running of the Telegraph Handicap at the Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting to-day. Before the race the horse was delayed in the birdcage and examined by the stewards, but was eventually allowed to start. It is understood that the stewards are doubtful about the identity of the horse, alleging that he does not in .all respects correspond with the description of Imperial Thorpe on the registration form.
