LARGE SHIPMENT OF FRUIT With 74 passengers, of whom 32 landed at Wellington, the Union liner Makura arrived yesterday morning after an uneventful passage from San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga. In addition to 78,000 feet of timber and other cargo, the Makura brought 3440 cases of fresh fruit from San Francisco and 10,788 cases of fruit from Rarotonga for Wellington.
