HARRIERS

WELLINGTON CLUB. On Saturday the Wellington Harrier Club held its annual sealed handicap for the Palmer Cup at Miramar, oyer a course of four miles, 26 runners being started on their journey by Mr. H. J. Pollock, president of the club. After an interesting race fastest time was returned by J. Shepherd, the club champion, who ran a very good race. On times being adjusted it was found that the result was as follows: J. O Brien. 1: L. Stoles, 2; L. Watson. 3. All the placed men ran good races. Other outstanding performances were given by E. O’Connell and G. Frazer. The result was a triumph for Mr. W. Donaldson, the handicapper, five seconds covering the placed men, and the next three following at second intervals.
