ALLEGED THEFT OF TOBACCO
VERDICT OF NOT GUILTY By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, May 2. Mr. Justice Smith was occupied in the Supreme Court to-day in the hearing of a case in which Heiwy George Parsons and William Stewart Scott were charged witli stealing tobacco from the warehouse of Rattray and Son, and alternatively with receiving the tobacco, knowing ij to have been dishonestly obtained. After a retirement of half an hour the jury returned with a verdict of not guilty on each count.
