NORFOLK IN PORT. The Federal Co.’s steamer Norfolk arrived at Wellington at 1 p.m yesterday from Liverpool, via Auckland, and berthed at the King’s Wharf to put out Part cargo. She is expected to leave Wellington to-morrow afternoon for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers to complete discharge. BASIC SLAG FROM ANTWERP. The New Zealand Shipping Co. have been notified by cable that the King Grurtyd is to leave Antwerp to-day with a cargo of basic slag to discharge at Auckland and New Plymouth. HAURAKI AT AUCKLAND. Four days before schedule, the Union Company’s motor-ship Hauraki arrived in the stream at Auckland at G. 30 p.m. on Tuesday from Los Angeles. The Hauraki loaded her cargo at Vancouver, Powell River, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and cleared the latter port on April 10. Good weather was experienced until within 48 hours of Auckland, when she encountered heavy weather, which delayed her slightly. The vessel has the usual Pacific Slope cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Adelaide. On her run from Los Angeles the vessel averaged 11.9 .knots, and her actual steaming time was 19 days 21 hours, which is the fastest time yet made by a cargo vessel. Captain A. T. Toten is now in command of the Hauraki, and lias the following officers with him:—Chief, Mr. F. Collins; seepnd, Mr. T. Davis; third, Mr. L. A. English; chief engineer, Mr. 11. Frith; second, Mr. W. The New Zealand Shipping Co. advise that their new motor-liner Rangltiki, which is due back at Wellington on Sunday from Lyttelton, will be open to the public on Sunday afternoon from 2.30 o'clock till 4.30 o’clock. The vessel arrived at Lyttelton at 8.45 a.m. yesterday from Port Chalmers, and will sail from Lyttelton to-morrow for Wellington. RUAHINE LEAVES CURACOA. _ Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that their liner Ruahine left Curacoa last Tuesday for Southampton and London, in continuation of her voyage from Wellington. OTIRxI SAILS AT NOON TO-DAY. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that the Otlra will now sail finally from Wellington at noon to-day for London, via Montevideo and Tenerlffe. BARON BELHAVEN WITH SLAG. The steamer Baron Belhaven arrived in the stream at Auckland on Wednesday morning from Antwerp, and after pratique was granted berthed to unload the local portion of her basic sing under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping . Company. The vessel cleared Antwerp on March 10, and until nearing the New Zealand coast experienced good weather. At -\ntwerp, however, the cold was intense, there being a drop in the temperature to 20deg. below zero. From Auckland the vessel will proceed to Wellington to complete discharge.. Captain Balllie is still in command of the Baron Belhaven. TAHITI DUE MONDAY. The Union Company report that the Tahiti, from San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga, is due at Wellington at 0 a.m. on Monday. She will leave here again the following afternoon for Sydney. THE MANUKA. From Melbourne, via southern ports, the Manuka is due at Wellington about 9 o’clock this morning, and will bertli at the Taranaki Street Wharf. She is scheduled to leave again at 1 p.m. to-morrow for Melbourne direct. ULIMAROA FOR SYDNEY. The Huddart-Parker Company steamer Ulimaroa will leave Wellington at noon today for Sydney, where she is due next Tuesday morning. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICES.
