The death occurred at Gisborne last night of Mr. Henry Ewart Hill, a pro. minent business man and formerly registrar of births, marriages, and deaths, at the age of 54 years. Deceased (states a Press Association teiegram) had been in hospital only a few days and was suffering from pleurisy and pneumonia. Deceased was a candidate for the Borough Council and Power Board at yesterday’s poll. The death of Mr. Benjamin Watson Buttle, aged 72, until recently manager of the Kaiapoi Woollen Company at Auckland, is reported in a Press Association message. Below London is a natural underground reservoir of water stretching about 36 miles north and south of the city and the same distance east and west.
