EXPENSIVE TUG TIED UP
ENGINES ALLEGED TO BE UNRELIABLE By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, May 1. It is reported from Bluff that the Bluff Harbour Board's tug Southland, which cost approximately £43.000. has been tied up indefinitely. It is stated that the trouble appears to be in the engines, which have proved unreliable, causing delay or dislocation in the Stewart Island service. Last year the Stewart Island service eost the board £4OOO. The Southland has been replaced by the old tug Theresa Ward.
