RUGBY FOOTBALL
SEVEN-A-SIDE TOURNEY TO-DAY The seven-a-side tourney held by the Wellington Rugby Union at the beginning of each season always attracts a big crowd of spectators, as followers of the game dearly love to see the greyhounds of the clubs racing. The tournament which is to be held at Athletic Park this afternoon should be especially interesting by reason of the fact that several noted players from other centres will make their appearance. The fifth grade matches will commence at 1.2 a p.m. and the senior matches at 2.30 p.m. The union’s accident fund should benefit materially as a result of the tourney. TEAMS FOR TO-DAY. Old Boys, Fifth Grade.—To be selected from the following: Jones, Clark, Donald, Bedell, Ashenden, Chatwin, Sando, K. Harris, Lambert.
Referees are requested to be in attendance from 1.15 p.m. on.
