REBELLION FAILS IN VERA CRUZ LEADERS DEFEATED NAVAL FORCES LOYAL TO GOVERNMENT (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Australian Press Assn.—United Service New York, March 7. The complete breakdown of the revolutionary movement at Vera Cruz andother parts of Southern Mexico was reported on Thursday. While the rebels in the nortli have continued the drive towards Juarez, where a handful of Federal troops-is awaiting them, General Aguirre, the rebel commander at Vera Cruz, is believed to have fled by sea. Of the three revolutionary leaders, two are reported to have been defeated and the third, General Borquez, of Sonora, is planning a southward movement. The Government has recovered the cities of Monterey, Cordoba, Saltillo, Orizaba, and Jalapa. Vera Cruz has virtually been captured. The naval forces have notified the Government of their loyalty. The first north-bound train from Mexico City since the revolution left last night. Precautions are being taken at El Paso (Texas) in the event of fighting at Juarez, across the border. The 7th United States Cavalry at Fort Bliss was under orders to move to-day with full field equipment. REBELS OCCUPY CULIACAN CENSORSHIP LIFTED (Rec. March 8. 7.20 p.m.) New York, March 7. A Nogales message states that Cuiiacan, the State capital of Sinaloa, has been occupied by the rebels. A Mexico City message states that the censorship imposed by the Federal Government on Sunday was lifted tonight.
