An interesting announcement appears In (his issue regarding the sale of the Masonic Hotel. Napier, along with other premises conipritsng the block on which the Masonic stands. This hotel is believed to be the largest and best-appointed hotel in New Zealand outside the four centres, and occupies a commanding position on the Marine Parade. It is a solid brick and concrete structrue of three stories, and contains about 142 rooms. The hotel is equipped with every modern appointment and convenience for the comfort of guests, a large proportion of the bedrooms having hot and cold water laid on, with electric switches for hot-water bottles or heaters. The outlook fipm the two large balconies, over the Parade and the Pacific is said to be unrivalled. The owners will sell the whole block subject to certain leases and tenancies, or tbev will sell the hotel alone, or the hotel in conjunction with any other lot or lots The purchaser will receive a transfer of the hotel license, and will be required to take over the furniture, stock, etc., of the present licensee on easy terms It is announced that the price has been fixed on a verv moderate basis, and reasonable terms will be considered.
