“LATEST WAR LIE”
ALLEGED GERMAN USE OF PLAGUE BACILLI (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) London, March 5. In the House of Commons, replying to Commander Kenworthy (Lab.), Sir Laming Worthington-Evans, Secretary for War, said that he had no information as to the Germans using disease and plague bombs in war time, except what was contained in the “Official History of the War.” Commander Kenworthy: Cannot you refute this latest war lie? Records of the medical services contain no evidence that projectiles were so used by the Germans. The Minister: It is true there was no evidence, but there was a suspicion.
