SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS
WOMAN IN COURT. Dominion Special Service. Dunedin, February 28. Mary .lane Clark, who appeared before the Magistrate's Court on Monday afternoon on a charge \of unlawfully using an instrument on a young woman with intent to procure a miscarriage, was arrested again this morning on a similar charge in respect to another young woman. On the first charge accused was remanded to appear on Wednesday, March C, and was released on ball ' ... The date of the second alleged offence was given as October 20. Dlr. A. C. Hanlon appeared for the accused. It was agreed to hear both charges on M ednesdav. March 13. Pail was allowed to accused on the first charge in £2OO, with one surety of £2OO, or two of £lOO each. On the second charge accused was allowed bail in her own recognisance of £2OO.
