PROHIBITION LAW

FUNDS FOR ENFORCEMENT (Australian Press Association.) Washington, February 25. In the House of Representatives the Administration leaders won a decisive victory by the passage of the second deficiency Appropriation Bill carrying slightly under three million dollars for prohibition enforcement instead of the 24 millions as advocated by the Democrats. The measure was sent to the Senate without a record of a vote, but a test ballot on a motion tc send it back to committee to include 24 millions resulted in a vote of 145 for and 239 against the extra “dry” funds.
