PRODUCE MARKETS FIRE
REPORTS SENT TO CITY COUNCIL.
At the last City Council meeting the opinion was expressed that there should be an inquiry into the Are at the Produce Markets in Blair and Allen Streets in November last, apd fur-, ther that there should he a demonstration of the fire appliances, together with tests pf the Wains as used on the night of the Are. One difficulty which seemed to present itself was how to operate all this hose with no fire, apfi where the water would be directed to when the practical demonstration was made.
It is understood that copies of the reports dealing with the fire have been forwarded to the City Council and will be presented at the meeting to-morrow night for discussion, They have not been placed before any committee, but will be presented direct to the City Council.
