CREDITORS MEET
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER’S FAILURE
Yesterday the creditors of John Arnold Smith, electrical engineer of Wellington, met before the Official Assignee (Mr. S. Tansley). Bankrupt had been concerned with the flotation of a company and bad become personally liable for the shares which he purchased in his own name. Smith, Ritchie and Co., Ltd., electrical contractors of Palmerston North, who are at present in liquidation, are the principal unsecured creditors. The deficiency shown was £290 and the bankrupt offered to pay 6s. Bd. in the £. Pending a request for transfer to Palmerston North, the meeting was adjourned sine die.
