produced some little complication this season, this being the prevalence of B-0.8. sales by factories. Many of these sales had been made on the basis of monthly shipment, instead of the preferable basis of monthly make. It was preferable, it was pointed out, for factories in selling monthly outputs to work on the basis of their monthly manufacture’rather than on the basis of monthly shipment because the one was a fixed quantity, whereas the other was quite indeterminable and outside the jurisdiction of the factory concerned. It was decided by the board that the undesirability of contracting to sell monthly shipments would be pointed out to factories, and the recommendation made that for the future factories should make contracts based only upon monthly manufacture. The information available to the board yesterday was taken to indicate clearly that the dairy producers are this , year likely to estbalish an outstanding record in regard to quantity production and price return. This applies particularly to butter producers whose final figures are likely to exceed expectations formed in the early part of the season. The cold weather being experienced in Europe may be expected to have its reaction on her dairy production for some months ahead, in which case, an unusually satisfactory level should be assured.
