DECLINE IN APPLICATIONS
The Prime Minister (Right Hon. Sir Joseph Ward) informed a “Dominion” representative on Saturday that ;it the last meeting of the State Advances Board there were only 36 applicatious for amounts totalling £68.242. Of that sum £35.935 was authorised for payment.
The business of the RuralTntermecliate Credit Board, he said, was in- a similar position; a-report furnished indicated that there had been a falling off in the number of new applications. It could now be said, the Prime Minister added, that both Departments were right up to.date so far as cases in. which valuations had been completed were concerned.
