BOND—MecKAY.
A night wedding of wide interest was celebrated at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Hastings, last Tuesday. The bride was Phyllis Elaine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert McKay, of Ellison Road, Hastings, and the bridegroom Eric William, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Bond, of Waipawa. The church decorations were artistically carried out with the use of pale pink and white flowers. Miss Helen Ford presided at the organ. Mr. G. McKay (father) gave away the bride, who was attired in shell pink georgette, the skirt full and banded with silver lace, and falling with uneven hem effect. The embroidered veil fell from a coronet of pearls and orange blossom. Silver shoes were worn and she carried a bouquet of lilies ami palejiink sweet peas, roses, and maidenhair ferns, with pale pink ribbon streamers. Two bridesmaids were in attendance. Misses Joy McKay and Eva Love. The former was in flame georgette, the frock falling with a dip at. the back, the skirt full and trimmed with bands of gold lace. Gold shoes were worn, also a crinoline hat with trimmings of flame .ribbon, and a bouquet of flame roses, dahlias, sweet peas, gypsophila, and maidenhair with red pink streamers, was carried. The latter bridesmaid was frocked in pale blue georgette, made in a fashion similar to the first bridesmaid’s, and trimmed with silver lace. Silver shoes were worn and a crinoline hat was turned off the face and trimmed with flowers. She carried a bouquet in pink tones, with maidenhair ferns and pink streamers. Mr. H. Barden was best man and Mr. J, Bergen groomsman. The Rev. R. B. Waugh, of Havelock North, performed the marriage ceremony.-
After the ceremony and the reception held by Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert McKay the bride and bridegroom left for Wanganui, the bride travelling in a pale pink georgette, made with peaked sides and enhanced with diamante trimmings, a wrap coat of saxe blue chenille trimmed with white fur, and a blue hat with touches of pink, and shoes to tone. Mrs. Gilbert McKay wore a. frock of jade green maroeain and carried a bouquet of mauve sweet peas and roses and maidenhair fern. .Mrs. Bond, mother of the bridegroom, wore a nary blue crepe de chine, with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of red carnations, roses and ferns. Among the relatives and guests were: Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Bond, Mrs. Tonan, of New Plymouth: Mr, and Mrs. Person, sen., Mr. and Mrs. M. Newriek, Mr. and Mrs. L. Willis, Mr. and Mrs. Doutch, of New Plymouth; Mr. and Mrs. A. AV. Anderson, Mrs. W. Barden, Air. and Mrs. AV. Keith, Mr. and Mrs. D. Beck/Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wall. Mr. and Airs. F. Bennisou.
