Rear-Admiral E. R. G. R. Evans, C. 8., D. 5.0., the famous Antarctic explorer, and famous for his exploit in the war when commanding the Broke, has been appointed to succeed Rear-Admiral Hyde, as head of the Australian Navy. He takes over in May.
