TREMENDOUS DAMAGE DONE (Rec. January 11, 11.35 p.m.) Melbourne, January 11. Devastatng bush fires are now sweeping the major portion of Victoria. Tremendous damage has been done to fences, grass and property in Gippsland. Narrow escapes from death have been experienced by mail drivers, .atockmen and' bush settlers.
