THROWN FROM BOLTING HORSE
RIDER’S SERIOUS INJURIES Dominion Special Service. Auckland. January 11. When his horse bolted near Papakura early last evening, Eugene Robbins, aged 23, of Grafton, was thrown off against a post, receiving serious head injuries. Robbins, who lives with his parents, was spending his holidays at Papakura, when his horse took fright and bolted. The saddle slipped and he was thrown against a post at the roadside. He was brought in to the Auckland Hospital, reaching it about 11 o’clock. Early this morning an operation was carried out, and his condition is considered to be serious.
