HORORATA AT NEWPORT/NEWS. Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Hororata arrived at Newport News last Wednesday from London, en route to »> el * lington, Auckland and Bluff. She Is due at Wellington on February 6.

f ENTON AT AUCKLAND. With general cargo from New York and Newport News, the A. and A. Line s chartered steamer Enton reached Auckland on Wednesday. Cargo for Auckland is being unloaded and she is to sail for Wellington and Lyttelton to-day to complete discharge. The vessel sailed from New York on November 18 and Newport News on November 29. Generally fair weather prevailed throughout the voyage to Auckland. Captain A. Smith Is in command, and the tollowing are the officers: —Chief, Mr. W. B. Nicolsen; second,’Mr. J. W. GOLDEN STATE EN ROUTE. The Oceanic and Oriental Navigation Company's steamer Golden State was dispatched from Los Angeles on December 31 with case oil, lumber and general cargo for Auckland, 'Wellington and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on January 26 and at Wellington a week later. WAIOTAPU FROM THE EAST. The Union Company have received cabled news that the Waiotapu, en route from Calcutta and Eastern, ports, will now not arrive at Newcastle until Monday for bunkering. She will leave Newcastle the same day for Lyttelton. • RADIO FROM MANUKA. The Union Company received a wireless message yesterday from their inter-colonial passenger steamer Manuka, stating that she will arrive in Milford Sound at 2 p.m. today from Melbogrne, and is due at Wellington at 6 o’clock on Monday morning. MESS TABLE GOSSIP. Captain A. McArthur will resume command of the auxiliary schooner Zingara at Wellington to-day. Captain Whitefield has been appointed master of the Kartigi to enable Captain A. B. Sizer to go on holiday leave. Captain A. 11. Prosser has taken charge of the Karetu at Sydney, Captain G. Ruxton being on holiday leave. RUAPEHU TO LOAD. The New Zealand Shipping Company report that their liner Ruapehu, at present at New Plymouth, will leave there on Wednesday afternoon to load at Nelson, Auckland, Lyttelton and Wellington. She is due here on January 29, and will sail finally from this port on January 31 for Southampton and London, via the Panama route. THE PORT DENISON. The C. and D. Line advise that the Port Denison will leave Bluff on Tuesday for Lyttelton and Wellington to fill up. She is due at Wellington on January 22, and will sail finally from this port on January 26 for London, via Panama. TREWIDDEN AT AUCKLAND. The Canadian National Steamships chartered steamer Trewidden arrived at Auckland at 6 o’clock yesterday morning from Halifax. The vessel ■ next will come to Wellington, where she is due on Monday or Tuesday, aud after discharge here will sail for Westport and Geelong. ISLANDS SERVICES. The Tofua left Apia yesterday for Suva, where she is due next Tuesday. She will proceed thence to Auckland direct. The Moeraki left Sydney yesterday for Levuka, via Norfolk Island. Lautoka and Suva. She is due Norfolk Island on Monday. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. The Sussex left Hobart yesterday for Beauty Point, Melbourne and Adelaide. The Wairuna left Auckland at 3 p.m. on Thursday and is due here to-day. She ■will sail on Tuesday for Melbourne and Sydney, and proceed thence to Fiji and Vancouver. MISCELLANEOUS. The Canadian Britisher is to sail from Napier to-day for Auckland to complete loading for New York, Boston and Halifax. The Surrey, which arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from Wanganui roadstead for loading, will leave her early tomorrow for Napier. The liner Tamaroa, now filling up at Auckland, will leave there at 6 a.m. next Saturday for Southampton and London. The Remuera is now fixed to leave Auckland at noon on Tuesday for Napier to continue loading. The Port Hardy arrived at Port Chalmers at 8 a.m. yesterday from AVellington, and sailed again last evening for Lyttelton. The Cumberland arrived at Timaru at 2 p.m. yesterday from Dunedin to put out the remainder of her Liverpool cargo. The coastal steamer Alexander passed the Wellington heads at 3 o’clock yesterday morning, bound for Gisborne. The Kent left AVellington early yesterday morning cargo-laden for London, via Panama.

The Kaimai is now fixed to leave Wellington next AVednesday for AVestport to load coal for AVellington and Napier. The Kartigi is due at Wellington next Friday from Greymouth. There is a possibility of the Totara now arriving at AVellington to-morrow from Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton. The Opihi is due at Wellington next Friday with a cargo of coal from Westport, for discharge at Miramar. The Kurow is due at Wellington next Friday from Auckland, and will proceed from here to Lyttelton, Dunedin and TimaThe*Kamona was bar-bound at Westport yesterday, but is expected to be able to sail for Wellington to-day.
