Unprecedented scenes marked the first screening of the Southern Hemisphere of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s inspired production, "The Trail of ’98.” Above is a reproduction of a photo showing a portion of the huge crowds that have waited outside the De Luxe Theatre, Wellington, to gain admission to see this remarkable photoplay. Owing to the fact that hundreds were unable to gain admission during the first week’s screening, it has been decided to hold the film at the De Luxe Theatre for a further season of seven days. This is an innovation for the De Luxe, as this is only the third picture to be screened at this theatre for more than one week.
