Mrs. Stan White, Tologa, Melbourne, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris, Linwood, Christchurch. Miss Beatrice Wallace, Oriental Bay, is spending her vacation at Rotorua.

Dr. A. Wallace Wilkinson, after completing'two years at Christchurch Hospital, has arrived in Greymoutli to take-up his duties as assistant medical superintendent.

Mrs.'H. Pitkin, of Johnsonville, left for Rotorua last week on an extended holiday, 'accompanied by Miss Jean Boardman, of Wellington. Dr. and Mrs. Humphrey Barnicoat and their small son, of Kimbolton, who have been spending the Christmas holidays with Mr. J. L. Barnicoat, of Brougham Street, left for their home yesterday morning.

After spending nine mouths in England and Scotland, Mrs. C. R. Bell and her younger son, of Clareville, and formerly of Upper Hutt, returned to New Zealand by the Remuera.

Miss D. Price is the guest of Mrs. Reynolds Casey in Christchurch.

Professor and Mrs. Somerville are visiting Picton Sounds.

Miss G. McLaren, of Wellington, is visiting Invercargill.

Miss Margaret Keinber, of Khnndnllab, is the guest of Lady Richardson at Kohimarama.

Miss A. Magill and Miss M. Gore bare left for a holiday in the Sounds. Mrs. Carte, of Wellington, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. H. 11. Davy, Epsom, Auckland.

Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Pearce and Mr. and Mrs. J. Jorgensen are Wellington visitors to Auckland.

Mrs. H. C. Davies and family (Lower Hutt) are'visiting New Plymouth, where they are the guests of Mrs. R. J. Matthews.

Miss J. Murdoch, who has been the guest of Mrs. J. Harrison in Wellington, has deft with Miss May Harrison for Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. John Fuller, of Sydney, are expected to arrive at Wellington in about a fortnight’s time to db a motor tour of the Dominion. Miss Sutton, seer.etary of the Mothers’ Helpers, will leave next week for a holiday. Her work will be carried on in her absence by Miss Nell Kennedy. Mr. and Mrs. Algar Williams, of Christchurch, are sitending a holiday at Pallia, Bay of Islands. Mrs. Knight Baker, of Wellington, is a visitor to Auckland. The Rev. and Mrs. Maurice Kempthorne left this week on a short visit to Nelson. Miss J. C. Slattery, of Hawera, who has been touring abroad for the past two years, returned to Wellington by the Marama. After a short stay in Wellington, she intends going north. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Finlay, of Day’s Bay, who have been motoring to Auckland by way of Napier, Taupo and Rotorua to visit their sou, Mr. K.
