Britain will make a big bid • in the New Year will be an attempt at a non-stop London-to-Cape Town flight in a giant Falrey monoplane. Although . being secretly constructed and tried ■out at Cranwell under a rigid guard, it is known to have a single wing span of more than SO feet. Also an attempt will be made at an altitude flight in an all-metal ’plane with super-charged engine. The pilot will wear electric-ally-heated clothing and an oxygen mask. ENTRIES FOR SCHNEIDER RACE (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, December 30. Entries- for the Schneider Trophyseaplane race from Germany as well as from America are now expected by the Royal Aero Club. The lists close to-morrow.. Entries have already been received from France and Italy, each -of which-is sending three aeroplanes.
