WESTERN SAMOA
reorganisation of STAFF Shortly before the general election the Secretary of the External Affairs Department (Mr. C. A. Berendsen), the .Assistant-Secretary of the Treasury (Mr. A, D. Park), and the Public Service Commissioner (Mr. P. A. Verschaffelt) were commissioned by the Reform Government to proceed to Western Samoa in order to report upon the internal organisation of the Mandated Territory. They were specially asked to advise regarding the reorganisation of the staff and-the finances. The visit was made at the request of the Administrator of Western Samoa (Colonel S. S. Allen). Mr. Berendsen returned some days ago, and Messrs. Park and Verschaffelt returned by the Makura on Monday. They will submit a report to the Government.
