SERIES CLOSED WITH KEEN COMPETITION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. (Rec. December 20, 10.25 p.m.) Sydney, December 20. At the last wool sale to-day till January 14 the market closed with a very confident tone. Prices were at the best of the series. Competition was still keen. Comebacks and crossbreds were very “rm. Greasy merino sold to 34J<1. per lb. -The quantity sold was 12,202 bales.
