A double-bladed instrument, resembling a pair of callipers with very sharp ends, has been introduced for making newspaper cuttings. It. has the advantage over scissors that both sides of the column can be cut at the same time and evenly.
An oblong wristlet watch made recently measures only one inch by one and a-balf. It records not only the time, but, in addition, the day of the week, the month, the date, and the phases of the moon. The last four records are contained in small circles on the dial.
